About Chia
Say hello to Chia! He's a charming Shih Tzu pup with a heart full of love just waiting for the right family to share it with. At only seven months old, this fluffy bundle of joy has a lot of life ahead of him and he can't wait to spend it with you.
Chia is great with other dogs his size, relishing in the chance for playful wrestling and games of fetch. On encountering larger dogs, however, he can sometimes be a little intimidated. Chia would be perfect in a home that has similarly-sized playful canines.
Initially shy around cats, with a little time, he will warm up to their presence and just wants to play and have fun with them. Make no mistake - behind Chia's reserved facade ticks a curious and playful heart!
He's also a little love sponge. He adores being cuddled and loves nothing more than to sit in your lap for hours on end, often curling himself into the tightest ball possible. His blissful sighs when being stroked will surely melt your heart.
Being a young pup, Chia does need some basic training. He's eager to learn and impress, and with a little patient guidance, he could quickly become your best-behaved buddy.
With his youthful spirit and infectious affection, Chia is ready to make the leap into a loving and nurturing family. If you're looking for a friendly, playful, and inseparable sidekick who loves a good cuddle session, look no further than Chia.
Medical notes
Chia had a dental scale and polish with two extractions. It was also noted that he has an underbite.
Vets observed heart beat arrhythmia - irregularly irregular whicg does not seem to be affecting him clinically. This disappeared under anesthesia but vets advise to take note for any future anesthesia's.
He otherwise passed his vet check
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
