Helping to feed Australia’s pets in need

Thanks to the support of our pet-loving partners, past and present, and supportive brands, PetRescue's national food & product donation program organises the distribution of donated pet care products to vulnerable and at-risk pets all over Australia.

Recognising that support for pets also means helping the people who care for them, this program has grown to assist PetRescue members (rescues, shelters and councils) as well as outreach organisations throughout communities across Australia that help vulnerable people and pets.

These donations can be large - requiring collaboration with logistics businesses to distribute the products intrastate and even interstate to PetRescue member rescues and community outreach organisations - or they can be smaller, donated directly to one group in urgent need.

What's more, the money that participating rehoming organisations save through this program helps to cover the cost of other essential services required in saving the lives of Australia's homeless pets.

Get involved by donating products or services

Join the generous community of brands supporting the rehoming organisations and rescue pets in care. We gratefully accept all pet food and product donations from manufacturers, retailers and more across Australia.

What we can accept:

• Short-coded product

• Short-dated product (still within expiry date range)

• Excess product

• Product not meeting retailer specification

• Discontinued product

• Product requiring relabelling

• Under or over-weight product

• Private label product

• New product lines or promotions that didn’t take off

• Product withdrawals if they’re still fit for use
   

What we can’t accept:

• Products past their final expiry date

• Product where the packaging seal has been broken

• Product subject to a safety recall

• Unlabelled product provided without ingredient details

PetRescue only facilitates the distribution of donations and does not have physical warehouses or a logistics network. As such, we also welcome support with freight and logistics services. Your donated services could help us deliver pet care products to areas that may not have otherwise received support!
