About Ziggy & Lola
If Ziggy and Lola were Instagram influencers, they'd be all about that active lifestyle, nature-loving, juice cleanses, and avo on toast. And would definitely have a swarm of followers because they're just plain adorbs <3
Ziggy and Lola are the ideal pets if you lead an active life, or are aspiring to start one. They'll be your hike buddies, fellow yogis, stroll partners, and running mates.
They're obedient, affectionate, and incredibly loyal. They are all about that outdoorsy, in-touch-with-nature life, so rest assured they'll help you embrace your greener side. They thrive on exercise which keeps them happy and cheerful and maintains their good behaviour.
Ziggy is a gentle soul who is very affectionate towards his family and highly athletic. He loves to run and explore the big outdoors. He's good with familiar dogs but will need to be kept at a safe distance from cats, birds, rabbits due to the breed's natural prey drive towards smaller animals.
Lola is everything you would expect of a labrador, kelpie, staffy cross. She loves her humans and will gladly hop on a lap for cuddles. She's a big nature-lover like her buddy Ziggy and isn't too fond of being separated from him. She'll collect and bring treasures to her owner (a leaf, a flower) and is a steadfast companion. Because she's such a gentle soul, Lola isn't too fond of loud noises.
Both of these munchkins are toilet trained and good with kids who are above the age of 12. They are very well (professionally) trained but as always consistency is key when it comes to training, and they'll require a good leader to make sure their manners stay in check.
Their vocabularies are broad and they respond to all the usual commands and more.
An ideal home for Ziggy and Lola would be with active singles or couples home who are mostly at home including, stay at home parents, someone that works from home, part-time workers, empty-nesters or active-retirees. They'd love a nice and secure yard to stretch their legs.
These dogs love their peeps, so they absolutely need in on all that family fun!
So if you're a couch potato looking for inspiration to get out of the maze of laze, or a part-hipster, part-fitness guru who loves the outdoors, then these doggos may just be the best bet for you!

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS (simple and easy)
1. Read the dog's detailed profile thoroughly - for you to self screen
2. The Expression of Interest (EOI) form MUST be completed prior to a meet and greet.
https://www.dogadoption.org.au/expression-of-interest---adoption.html
3. Speak to the carer/owner directly for more detailed info to determine if there are any 'deal breakers' - designed to save time and avoid falsely raising hopes.
4. 'Meet & Greet' - you travel to where the dog is. If you have a current dog it must meet too. We strongly recommend all members of the family attend. Both parties may wish to report their thoughts to each other but MUST update Dog Adoption directly too.
5. The dog MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS have been made e.g. travelling more then 2 hrs round trip. In this case we need a minimum of 2 days notice. The adoption agreement and payment must be made before collection of the dog.
6. Normally, both parties have a think about the meeting, and if they wish to proceed, the adoption is completed after the adoption agreement, payment and screening is finalised.
7. A 2 week cooling off period commences once the dog arrives.
