Caboolture and District Animal Welfare Inc. is a group of dedicated volunteer foster home carers and fund raisers. We have been rescuing and rehoming dogs, cats, pups and kittens for nearly 20 years. We have no refuge but a group of dedicated foster homes that do a wonderful job not just caring for the animals but socialising them, doing basic obedience training and often house training them. We have found the foster home system is a great way to find out what type of household the dog or cat would be best suited to. Majority of our animals come from the local council pound, and some are surrendered due to family circumstances. The other side of our welfare group is the fund raising, which is through our 2 Op shops one in Caboolture corner of King Street and Matthew Terrace and our other store Welsby Pde Bongaree Bribie Island. A fantastic group of ladies look after both our shops and the moneys raised go towards paying our rather large vet and food bills.
