About Maple
Meet beautiful, sweet-natured Maple!
This lovely young lady has had a bit of a rough ride in her first few months. Left in a back yard where she didn't even know her own name.... so we changed it!
This girl has huge potential to make a wonderful addition to a family. She will require a strong commitment to her ongoing positive reinforcement training. With some time, patience, consistency & understanding, it won't take long to teach her some nice manners. Being a youngster, she is full of beans & a joyful zest for life & this can result in her being a bit too bouncy for small kids. She deserves to be allowed to live indoors with her family where she can receive all the affection that she gives back 10 fold.
She has, up until now, been denied the chance to socialise with people & other dogs, so initially, she can be a little shy but soon warms up once she builds trust. She is also very keen to meet our other shelter dogs & now regularly walks with her doggie pals. She may well be able to live with another dog if you currently have one in your life. A meet & greet prior to adoption would be needed to make sure that they are compatible. A sociable male would probably be the best choice for her.
She hasn't seen much of the outside world & may need slow, gentle exposure to new environments & situations so that she does not feel overwhelmed. The key is to make positive associations with things that dogs may be worried about.
Maple requires daily physical & mental enrichment & enjoys regular Sniffari walks, food puzzle toys & space to run & play :)
Let's find Maple the home she truly deserves!
