About Freckles
Hi there I'm Freckles! I'm a working breed type dog with a lot of enthusiasm for life! I love people, someone that is home for long periods is what I need because being all by myself can make me upset. I need lots of things to help me slow down and use my brain more! Enrichment toys like snuffle mats, lick mats, kongs, lots for me to chew and different ways to interact with me to keep my mind busy. One thing I like too much is fetched, but it means I cannot switch my brain off and will keep playing until exhausted so if I do play fetch it needs to be clear and precise when we are finished playing. This is where the behavior team can help teach you how to help me with this. If you have owned a working breed before you know what characteristics we can have and hopefully giving me lots of things to learn is top of your priority list as this is what i require with my new home Children over 15 is preferred as I am not a fan of touch, and if I don't have a routine, I can become overwhelmed and jump up to your legs. I would prefer to be the only dog in your household as I am not sure how to live with another dog and can become overwhelmed with this. The dog beach is probably on my list to be dog social rather than in my home. Indoor and outdoor access is my thing as I like being indoors when the outside world is too much. Providing me a safe space away from the outside world is something I really like and will help when I need to be alone without you. If working breeds are your preferred dog, I'm here ready to find my forever home!
