About Duster
So we know what you're thinking.... "WOW! What a cute guy!" And he really is! BUT- please read on before you fall in love ;)
Duster has unknown parentage but we know that there is some type of working breed in the mix, most likely a Bearded Collie or perhaps even a Polish Lowland Collie! With that in mind, it is always worth considering if a type of dog is suitable for your lifestyle. Working breeds can be high energy dogs with busy minds. They require a lot of daily physical & mental enrichment in order to keep them healthy & happy.
Duster can sometimes feel overwhelmed & a little timid. In order to build up his confidence he will need an patient new guardian who understands that the key to resilience in dogs is giving them choice, not forcing them into situations or environments where they feel uncomfortable. We need to create positive experiences for them.
Duster may end up as a MEDIUM sized dog - he is not destined to be a small lap dog! He loves to play with his fellow canines & may well be able to co-habit with another dog. A meet & greet prior to adoption would be needed.
We are open to the right family with dog-savvy respectful kids & Duster must be allowed to live indoors with his new family & be included in every day life. Secure fencing & a high quality diet are essential.
Bright, fun, energetic, sociable, at-times a little anxious, highly trainable, cute, happy, sometimes noisy, bouncy, affectionate & gorgeous. Duster is all this & more. Are you sure you're ready for that in your life?!
