About Shia
There's no greater feeling, than earning the trust of someone who has been so wronged by all others.
To hear their first purr, receive their first head boop & to have them willingly come to you for attention, there's no greater feeling.
I'm pleased to introduce you to Shia (pronounced Shy-ah).
Shia arrived in my care on Monday 22nd May.
He had been at the shelter for 1 week, after being transferred from the council pound.
I'm sure you can understand that the shelter, through no fault of staff & volunteers, can be a scary place at times, especially for an already broken soul.
Shia arrived at my home, shy & very unsure of my intentions.
After 24 hours of gentle touches & gentle voices, Shia began to purr!
Over the next few days, purring turned into playing, head boops & leaning into my face for kisses.
Shia is still young at approximately 12 weeks old & I believe with the right family; he'll thrive over time.
Shia likes to hide away to feel comfortable so it's my job to gently expose him to open spaces around the home.
Shia absolutely loves my two rescue cats & little rescue dog. He responds very positively whenever he sees them & he goes directly to them for comfort & companionship.
If you have a lonely kitty or friendly dog at home, Shia will make a wonderful companion for them.
Shia would prefer an indoor only home where he'll be showered with lots of understanding, kindness, love & support.
Mature aged children in the home would be acceptable for him but young, excitable children would not.
Shia is gentle, kind, loving & playful, he just needs a chance to reach his full potential.
We would prefer Shia to be adopted from foster. You will be able to have a meet & greet with him at the shelter, by appointment.
If you think you can offer him the home he deserves, please apply to adopt him today.
