About Carlos - 3 Year Old French Bulldog (On Trial)
Carlos is a 3 year old French Bulldog. This 15kg ball of personality will be an absolute delight to have as a part of your family.
This lovable boof head has great training. He is completely housetrained, has perfect recall, sits and shakes hands and waits before eating his dinner or breakfast. He is dog friendly and would happily have a doggy companion, large or small. He is untested with cats, but they are most likely not suitable.
He is prone to a good case of zoomies and is yet to meet a stuffed plush toy that can withstand his excited attention for longer than 5 minutes. He would love human children to play with. Preferably children over the age of 8 who are comfortable around dogs. He loves the car and is always up for a drive to Bunnings.
Unfortunately, Carlos also has some classic undesirable French Bulldog traits like ALLERGIES. He is allergic to grass and a lot of different foods. His new home must have an area that allows him to toilet on cement or fake grass. For this reason, apartments and terrace housing will be considered. He enjoys going for a walk and is great on the lead, but will need to be kept on a walking path to avoid the grass. Carlos seems to understand that grass is not really desirable and he prefers to spend his time indoors. He must be given access to inside the house (he is trained with a doggy door) while you are away for the day. His ideal home will also have discipline when it comes to feeding him and only give him food on his approved diet.
Carlos is currently taking medication for his allergies. It costs a little over a dollar a day and he eats it on a sardine like it’s a well-earned treat rather than medication.
Since being in care Carlos has thrived under the controlled environment of a fish diet and no grass. Please consider the below criteria before applying for this lovable boy:
• Able to offer a home that either has no grass or is able to restrict his access to grass.
• Have discipline with feeding him meals and snacks. The wrong food makes him itchy, sore and upsets his tummy. Adults and children in the house must understand the consequences of not being disciplined with his food.
• Be able to afford his medication and (slightly) more expensive food. The cost is not extremely high, but it is more than some dogs.
Carlos’s allergies are not extreme like some dogs that we see come into care, which is great because with the right environment and discipline he is able to live a perfectly normal life.
Carlos has been very loved, you can tell by his training and confident happy personality. He snores, has smelly and loud passwinds that he always trys to blame on another family member. He snuggles on the couch and really doesn’t suffer separation anxiety when you have to go out for the day. He is not destructive (except to squeaky toys) and is not a barker.
For more information on Carlos the bestest boy ever, please contact his foster carer Kylie on her email adoptginger@outlook.com. Carlos is in foster care in Fletcher, NSW and is not available for adoption interstate. Carlos’s adoption fee is $700 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
