About Flora & Fauna
This is Flora and Fauna, a mother and daughter bonded pair. Rescued from a regional pound in Victoria, their lives were threatened to be cut short. These ladies have come a long way together, overcoming a lot of challenges with the help of their incredible foster carer.
Flora, the grey mamma cat, is gradually learning to trust humans. Every day she makes a little more progress, expressing her growing trust with curious sniffs and tentative pats on the head. Fauna, her tortie daughter, is gentle natured and a bit more confident, leading her mother in their journey towards trust and comfort.
Despite having a shaky start in a new home, both Flora and Fauna have experienced impressive progress in their foster care, transforming from being petrified with fear to becoming more comfortable with human presence. It’s a testament to their potential for growth and resilience in the right forever home.
Flora and Fauna's fellow cat companions in their foster home have played a pivotal role in their socialisation progress. By observing the other confident cats, it has helped our lovely ladies understand that humans can be trusted.
The ideal new family for Flora and Fauna should preferably have experience with shy or scared cats. Having a confident, friendly cat in residence could also be beneficial in continuing to guide Flora and Fauna towards comfort and security. Importantly, they need an indoor-only home where they can feel safe and continue their journey towards trust and happiness.
This bonded pair truly deserves a patient, understanding family who will love and appreciate their unique, tender personalities.
