Hey there, I'm Coconut, the shy but sweet white DSH cat hoping to find my forever home.
When I first arrived at the shelter, I was pretty timid. Loud noises and sudden movements tend to startle me, which is why I'll need to go to a home with no kids under 6. I just need a bit of time to warm up and feel safe in my new environment.
Plenty of hiding spots are a must for me. I like having cozy nooks where I can retreat to when I need some alone time. A quiet and calm household would be perfect for helping me feel secure and comfortable.
It's important for my new owners to have an understanding of cat behavior, especially when it comes to fearful cats like me. Doing some research on how to help cats adjust to new environments would be incredibly helpful in making my transition smoother.
You should know that I'm currently on behavior medication to help me cope with my anxiety in the shelter. But don't worry, upon my adoption, you'll receive a free vet consult where you can discuss the possibility of a weaning plan for the medication. With the right support and patience, I know I can thrive in a loving home.
If you're willing to give a shy guy like me a chance, I promise to fill your life with love and purrs. Come meet me, and let's see if we're meant to be together!
