About Judd Falko

Judd is a delightful companion who thrives on human interaction and affection. He exudes love and warmth, always seeking cuddles and physical closeness with his human. Despite his initial excitement, he possesses a calm demeanor and enjoys lounging on the bean bag for hours, revelling in the comfort of home.
Judd's enthusiasm for people sometimes manifests in jumping and holding on, though he responds well to training commands like sit and stay. He eagerly anticipates his evening walks, where he exhibits some excitement and tends to pull on the lead. However, efforts are underway to help him walk at a slower pace.
He has limited interest in play and food, Judd's primary focus remains on human companionship. He displays minimal food drive and doesn't exhibit behaviours like drooling or begging for treats. Instead, he craves affection and attention from those around him.
Judd demonstrates adaptability in various situations. While he prefers indoor company, he's content to sleep and stay outside, showing no signs of anxiety or destructive behaviour when left alone. Initially he will try to get his way with puppy dog eyes but will quickly adjust to the established routine.
He generally gets along well with canine companions, though some exuberance may be observed during initial encounters.
Judd is cooperative during grooming sessions, except for his aversion to the blow dryer. He handles visits to the dog wash with ease, demonstrating good behaviour throughout the process.
Judd is a lovable and affectionate companion who thrives on human connection. With patience and positive reinforcement, he continues to adjust and flourish in his foster home, enriching the lives of those around him with his endearing personality.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
Medical notes
Weight: 24.5 kg
Health: Judd is currently in the country and we are trying to get him to Melbourne to a foster/foster with a view so we can assess his gait. Possibly surgery on his front leg may be required.
Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
