About Alfie
*In foster care in Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney*
Alfie is a very curious boy who absolutely LOVES being the centre of attention!
He adores pats and booty rubs, and will get cosy in your arms before suddenly dashing off to join his foster brother for games and mischief-making!
Meal time is Alfie's favourite time of day - don't worry, he'll make sure to remind you with his very sweet chirps and meows. He's a fan of playtime too, and will chew on anything he can get his chompers on! When it's time to share his toys or treats he can be a bit fussy - but he's learning that sharing is caring :)
He has many more strengths than weaknesses though, and bravery and perseverance are just two of them! The first time he worked up the courage to check out the jungle gym, he climbed right to the top and immediately fell right off - but he gave it another go on a later day and did much better. He relishes a challenge, that's for sure!
Like all Maggie's pets, Alfie is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I don't have a long list of essentials, but I do enjoy the company of my humans so it would be great if you were around quite a bit! Even when I'm just taking my long afternoon naps, it's nice to know you're there. (All good if you go out to work, though!)
I respond best to calm, gentle guidance and lots of patience. Even then, there's a chance I'll go into hiding when I feel nervous or worried, before eventually making my way out to you again. Please be kind and understanding - especially as I settle in!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Medium-low, leaning low for sure! I'm pretty much a couch potato :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I think I'd enjoy living with kids aged 10+.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I get along really well with my foster brother! - I'm just a bit possessive of my food and toys (I'm still learning how to share), so at least at first it might be a good idea to feed me in a separate area to other cats.
I haven't met any dogs yet.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
