About Monkey
Hey there, wonderful humans! My name is Monkey, Let me give you a sneak peek into my world and why I might be the perfect match for you. Before finding my way to the RSPCA, I had a bit of an adventure. I got into a scuffle with another cat, and well, let's just say it left me with a battle scar—a bad bite that turned into an abscess. Lucky for me, the incredible vets here took me under their care, and I've bounced back stronger than ever. Now, here's something important to know about me: I've tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). It's a bit like the cat version of HIV, but fear not – it's not easily spread. Cats like me can enjoy a good quality of life for a long time before any potential progression. However, it does make me more vulnerable to other diseases, so I should be kept as an indoor-only cat to protect my health and prevent the spread of FIV to other feline friends. Just when I thought I was done with all those teenage things, the vets tell me that I have chin acne. For those lucky enough not to have had it, it’s a skin condition where the hair follicles become blocked and sometimes infected. It looks like I have a dirty chin. For the most part as long as you keep my chin and bowls all nice and clean, then i should be fine. However, if my chin becomes very red and sore then a trip to the vet for some medicine should be amazing. Due to my FIV status and the potential risk of transmission through bites, it's best if I find a home with no other cats. But don't worry, I'm a very sweet and vocal cat who absolutely adores human attention. If you're looking for a one-and-only feline companion, I might just be the purr-fect match for you. I'm eagerly awaiting the chance to meet you, share purrs, and make lasting memories together.
Love Monkey xx
