About Barney
*In foster care in Lidcombe, Sydney*
Known in his foster home as 'the old man in a kitten body', Barney has the raspiest, elderly meows - but it only adds to his extreme cuteness! This endearing boy is really quite the character, complete with a cuddly personality and a constant sleepy face :)
Barney had a rough start to life after being found with his two brothers abandoned without a mother, in poor health, in a public toilet cubicle. He's since made a complete recovery and adores the domestic bliss of his foster home! He's incredibly affectionate, snuggling up beside your head to show his love at every opportunity. He definitely makes the perfect nap buddy!
Like all Maggie's pets, Barney is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will have someone around most of the time to hang out with - human or pet! - as I really thrive on companionship. I'm also hoping you'll shower me with love, and keep me safely indoors.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Play hard, then sleep hard - repeat ad infinitum!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I've been practically hand-raised, and I enjoy being touched and cuddled, so I think family life with gentle cat-loving kids would be lovely!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I live in a busy household with six other cats at the moment, and it's great!
I did spend two weeks living with a young cavoodle and though I was cautious at first, once I realised she wasn't a threat I had no problem hanging out with her too :)

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
