About Nutmeg
*In foster care in Stanmore, Sydney*
After a rough start on the streets, sweet Nutmeg was made for inside life. Saved from a Lidcombe colony where he was in danger with his brother Sumac, Nutmeg is one lucky kitty and he seems to know it. His expressive eyes have a way of finding yours as he purrs his gratitude contentedly and accepts head pats and creamy treats.
Nutmeg is a gentle, sweet and affectionate kitten and a head bump enthusiast in the making. He seeks out his humans and gives little mews to strike up a conversation. Nutmeg has been affectionate and enjoyed pats since coming into care- he is initiating lap cuddles and climbing all over his humans.
His favourite toys are balls and anything with bells!
I love spending time with my brother Sumac and I'm unfazed by the resident adult cats in my foster home. I think I'd love another cat friend in my forever home, or maybe bring my brother along too!
Like all Maggie's pets, Nutmeg is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: is with someone who will be patient with me while I become my best kitten self. I would suit a single, couple or family with older kids who are home to dote on me. I'd love to hang out and help you while you work or study from home. A cat friend would be a great option but I think I'd also be fine on my own so long as the people are around a fair bit.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Average - a good couple of play sessions and then I snooze away the day.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Older kids (10+) who are respectful of my space but will spend time playing with me would suit me well.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I love hanging out with my brother Sumac and don't seem to mind the resident cats in my foster home.
There is a dog here too and I’m getting more curious and confident around her. I think with the right introductions I could live with a chill cat friendly dog.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
