About Elspeth
*In foster care in Alexandria, Sydney*
Pretty, playful and confident with a special penchant for treats, Elspeth is an independent little girl who enjoys relaxing in the sun during the day and TV cuddles on the couch in the evening. She would make someone the ideal work-from-companion or second (3rd or 4th) household cat.
This sweet darling can be won over with a good chin rub, and her favourite creamy treats. She currently follows her big foster brother around like a shadow but is also increasingly appreciating (and demanding!) dedicated time with her pet humans.
She is a good buddy if you're working from home, contributing with some intelligent insights in team meeting and keeping you company by sitting in your lap, her purrs resonating.
She adores her cat tree, even though it's probably too high for her - but she's quickly worked out a way to parkour down and drop onto the unsuspecting bigger cats in her foster home :) She's also a fan of a laser pointer, chasing it up walls.
Like all Maggie's pets, Elspeth is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'm a practical girl so I've made a list of preferences for your convenience!
- You'll have another friendly kitty (or maybe even two?) to show me the ropes :)
- There'll be lots of 'catification' (i.e. easy access to the fun stuff, so I can climb and traverse my realm from on high! A tall cat tree at the very least is a must).
- You'll be willing to spend some quality time with me to build an unbreakable bond and help me shake off that kitten energy so I stay out of mischief!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Fairly typical for a kitten, I'd say! I do sleep a lot, but when I'm up and about I'm a bounding ball of energy. I love playing soccer with fluffy or noisy balls and chasing ribbons!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I haven't got any experience with kids yet, so it's hard to say.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Other cats are my favourite! My ears prick up as soon as I hear a meow and I run over to say hi :)
Because I'm quite shy a home with dogs might not be the best match for me right now.

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
