About Paddy
Meet Paddy!
Young Paddy is beautifully natured male red cattle dog. Only 9 months old & already a brave soldier!
You see, Paddy is a tripod - he only has 3 legs due to having had a serious accident which resulted in the amputation of his hind leg. But that does not define Paddy! Oh no! He is the first one to line up for a morning walk & he really enjoys a romp with his dog pals. You'd hardly notice that anything was amiss.
Tripod dogs don't need different treatment to dogs with 4 legs. They cope amazingly well. They can run, play & even swim. Paddy would love to be a family dog & be included in day-to-day activities. He is looking for a home where he will be allowed indoors to really feel a part of family life.
He was in foster care for a while & reports are that he got on very well with other dogs, cats plus chooks!
Being a cattle dog, he is a working breed &, as such, needs plenty of regular exercise as well as mental enrichment to keep both his body & brain in good health. These dogs thrive with human companionship & too much alone time would not make Paddy a happy boy. Cattle dogs can become very attached to their humans so someone who is at home more often than not, or who can take Paddy as their ride-along co-pilot, is what we're looking for.
If you think you could offer Paddy a wonderful home, then please submit an application to adopt him & let's find him the new home he so truly deserves.
