Hi Members,
As thousands of adopters continue to visit PetRescue in hopes of finding a pet, our tech team has been trickling in new platform improvements to help streamline the adoption process for you.
Here are all the recent improvements:
A new donate button on your group page
We understand that not all of our members are ACNC-registered. To make it easier for your supporters to donate to your group directly, we’ve added a new option that allows website visitors to confirm whether they want to donate to your organisation or to PetRescue’s work.
If a visitor is on your group’s page (via the rescue directory) and clicks the yellow ‘Donate’ button on the upper left corner of the homepage, the following options will be displayed:
The option "I'd like to donate to
This key development will help visitors easily navigate to your organisation’s website and increase your chances of obtaining vital funding from the 30,000+ pet lovers that visit the PetRescue website every day.
Along with the donate button for your pet listings, this feature is also a part of our mission to empower you with all capabilities you need to keep pets safe and keep doing all the amazing work you do.
Add notes to pet listings
Now everyone in your organisation with a PetRescue account can keep track of all the changes made to pet listings with our new notes feature! This is particularly useful if you have multiple people from your organisation using PetRescue to manage your pet listings.
To add a note on your pet profile for others in your organisation to view, simply go to a pet’s listing and click “Add Note” under your tools.
To view notes, click “View History” and click “View Note”. If you cannot see this button, it means there are no notes currently attached to your pet’s profile.
Add a secondary contact to your group profile
If you haven’t already, you now have the option to edit your group’s profile and add a “secondary contact.”
This is a reliable way to ensure your account’s security, and have a backup user who can retain access in case the group administrator has been locked out.
Another benefit is that PetRescue can get in touch with someone from your group in case of an emergency or to relay important information about your membership benefits.
To add a secondary contact, click edit on your group’s profile and scroll down and find “Secondary contact.” Drop down and select a contact from members of your organisation.
Make sure you keep checking the PetRescue Members Facebook Group for more updates about your member benefits, platform improvements, and everything else PetRescue!
